The Standard Group has been awarded the Forest Stewardship Council certification for demonstrating its commitment to using paper products that support the environment. The FSC, an international organization, oversees a program for certifying that paper used by FSC certified printers originates from sustainable, legal and verified logging sources. In order to earn Forest Stewardship Council certification the company had to undergo a multi-step review by an independent FSC authorized auditor.
In order to gain Forest Stewardship (FSC) certification distinction, The Standard Group had to demonstrate to FSC certifiers that it could document the chain-of-custody of products back to FSC certified suppliers. Customers can now be environmentally responsible by selecting The Standard Group to print their projects with assurances that the paper originates from logging sources that avoid harvesting wood from areas that would have negative environmental effects.This certification allows The Standard Group's customers to place the FSC logo on their printed pieces to show their concern for safe environmental practices.
The Standard Group is a GRACoL certified organization. GRACoL 7 calibrates proof-to-press and press-to-press across any printing method. The results are better and more consistent color fidelity, faster time-to-market, quicker make-readies, and lower cost. The General Requirements for Applications in Commercial Offset Lithography (GRACoL) www.gracol.org was developed by the IDEAlliance www.idealliance.org in order to improve communications and education in the graphic arts.
